Gaming Graphics Cards
What is the difference between Gaming and Workstation GPU’s (Graphics Processing Unit)?
Gaming graphics cards deliver high frame rates, smooth gameplay and realistic graphics with high clocking speeds. Workstation graphics cards generally have more memory capacity with ECC (Error Correcting Code) memory to handle high volume of data processing and correcting errors during the process. The workstation GPU’s are therefore optimized for professional application, such as 3D modelling, video rendering, simulations and visualisations.
However, the new generation gaming graphics cards are capable of handling both types of applications.
